Wednesday 13th May 2020 - the Government has decreed that there should be partial end to the lockdown. Those over 70, those with underlying health conditions and the like, are still in lockdown, and even those going to work from today should only do it, if it cannot be avoided, or they are unable to work from home.
Some sports can now be played - tennis and golf are cited, but not football or any of the sports of the working classes. We still live in an elitist society and the lower classes seemingly need to know their place.
Today I used public transport for the first time since mid-March. I am almost out of washing powder, and I needed to visit a certain supermarket for another box - so public transport was used in the pursuit of shopping for essential supplies. True the supermarkets in walking distance also sell washing powder, but not the particular powder I need - hence a trip out on public transport - and I obtained flour - something than cannot be bought locally! Do not be alarmed, dear readers, I did wear a face mask.
Aside from my adventure, I remained indoors, and with the aid of Vicky and Geoff I made a railway station.
I also listened on Classic FM online to one of these great compilations of musicians scattered around in different locations, all performing a piece together - this was "Something's Coming" from West Side Story - thoroughly enjoyed it.
On YouTube I finished my marathon watching of Fortunes of War, with the 7th episode.
So tomorrow beckons, and I have some clothes to wash!
